Running with Haru

Cheki Yo
Picked up a Checki camera earlier today. Always kinda wanted one after seeing Yone using one. Every shot counts when shooting with this camera cause the film is kinda pricey. Going to be practicing my Yone, rated “G” style of shooting on Haru lol. LX3 x Canon 580exII
Just playing around with my LX3 camera. I attached a Speed Lite external flash to it. I was thinking of switching up the camera to a Canon S90. But im having second thoughts now. S90 doesn’t have a hot shoe like the LX3. But the s90 has a focus ring and can fit right into your pocket with no problems. hmm

Way to go Haru!!!. .Haru has made it to the interwebs with this ad for the BlackBerry Bold 9700. Hopefully he will get into TV commercials and make a lot of money so that I don’t have to work anymore lol.. Thanks Studoogs for having him on the site =)

Haru turned 1 years old beginning of the month. Time sure does fly by. Happy Bday Haru!!!

A Haru Shoot
Went to the Fatlace studio today to help out Kana and Misa with their portfolio shoot. Never really shot photos in a studio before. I always have been shooting behind the scenes video. But today I got to act as a photographer with a lighting system and a nice white back drop. It was a lot of fun taking photos because they all turned out looking pretty cool. After we finished taking photos of Kana and Misa’s projects, I threw Haru up on the table for some head shots. Hopefully he can get into movies or commercials so that we don’t have to work anymore. Check out some of the photos and thanks to the Fatlace posse for letting us use the space =).
** For some reason, Haru’s name tag turned pink. It was red before. This makes people think he is a girl. He really is a boy. He had some balls at one point and he got the scars to prove it. LOL

A Fatlace Moving Company
Helped out the Fatlace crew move into their new studio in Burlingame. Haru came along for the ride as well. Phase 2 of the move coming soon, or maybe just a crib style video of the studio. They already finished moving in. haha

Riku Desu
It’s always nice seeing Riku every year. He is almost 4 years old. I hope Haru will be as calm as him when he reaches that age. On this day, we went to a park called Zeto . Its a nice park with long trails for dogs which kinda reminds me of Fort Funston, but with a lot of snow. Maybe one day we can bring Haru here.

Haru Cam
We left Haru by himself the other night for about 6 hours which is dramatically long for him. Good thing I have the iCam Source application on my iphone. This app allows me to stream up to 4 webcams including audio to my iphone. It’s the best app ever. I set up 4 cameras that night to see what Haru does while we are gone.

Every so often, Haru runs to the window to look outside to see if we are walking back home.
When he realizes we are not outside, he goes back to his pillow and cries out loud. Poor Haru =(

Presents are still showing up at our door. Many thanks to everybody that sent us presents =) Still editing the video which is going ok. Just got the raw photos from Kevinchin.com . Now its time to start editing those too. Very weird editing your own wedding photos and video I must say. Happy to be back being behind the lens again.

Fog Walk
Random walk in the fog with the dog on a hot and humid day. Earthquake type weather in San Francisco all week long. Loving it!!!!

Haru
A quick update on Haru. He is 8 months now, weighs about 7.5lbs. Barks at little kids, sudden movements and skateboards. He learned a few tricks like, roll over, down and sit, only when a treat is in front of his face. He is pretty much 100% potty trained, loves bananas and tomatoes. Only dog he plays with is Kicks. He entered his first wiener race last week and took 4th place in his heat. Check out Kana’s blog for some photos.

Random Walk
Haru and Kicks begged Kana and I to take them on a walk at Fort Funtson SF today. Yu san took us out here last Sunday with Zum, and ever since then, Haru always wants to come back here. This place is like Disney Land for dogs with a bunch of trails, spectacular views and lots of sand to take dumps. Definitely will be coming up here more often. But today was really really nice. Warm winds, a whale swimming in the ocean, and a beautiful sunset. This place is usually covered up by thick fog and hand gliders.

Finally got to meet Chie and Tosh’s dog, Tin Tin. Super cute little puppy that has tons of energy. Total chick magnet I must say. He woke up in the middle of the night to party with us drunk people.
